Genealogy of Damnatio Memoriae 2009
The installation for the "The Fear Society", 53rd Biennale di Venezia, Arsenale Novissimo, curated by Jota Castro, Venice, Italy reflects this aspect of collective forgetting. For the piece, we created a partial genealogy of violent historic events from 1969 to 1980 that were part of Italy's "strategy of tension", to be cut into the bark of a tree. There were two basic principles that guided our selection: the period of time between the Piazza Fontana attack and the Bologna Station attack in 1980 and the violence of the State and the military based on the self-preservation of the status quo and power through terror. The dates and places of the events are cut into the trunk and branches, using the characters of dynastic genealogies. This partial genealogy does not intend to be a historic reconstruction. Using a familiar device like a genealogical tree lets us represent the attacks and murders as a common bloodline in that it brings us together in the memory and oblivion of these events.

Dump Queen 2008
goldiechiari's work Dump Queen consists of a video and a series of pictures produced in 2007-8. The subject is a performance by Swedish dancer, Lotta Melin as she reinterprets artist Carmen Miranda (originally from 1941 movie, One Night in Rio) in the Guidonia dump, which lies on the outskirts of Rome, Italy.
Mountains of garbage accumulate at this site and seagulls crowd the sky.
Miranda appears to sing and dance the song Chica Chica Boom Chic.
In Dump Queen video and photographs, Miranda represents a "tropical and exotic" divinity of abundance, enacting a light-hearted and mad dance in the context of decadence, ruin and abjection.
"In the dump's squalid phantasmagoria, the same commodities that had been fetishized by advertising, dynamized by montage, and haloed through backlighting, are now stripped of their aura of charismatic power. [...]
Miranda dances as if to perform a ceremony of removal; unconscious of the waste, ignoring the decay around her.

Cosmic Love 2006
Cosmic Love, an intergalactic video journey through an imaginary cosmogony of brightly coloured planets, constellations and stars. As the video slowly zooms out on the artificially simulated planets, the final sequence provides a view of the whole system of planets and reveals the origins of the objects.
"Outer space is a pleasant place
A place where you can be free
There's no limit to the things you can do
Your thought is free and your life is worthwhile
Space is the place"
Sun Ra
The music and the rhythm of the journey suggests that the aim of the trip is to discover another cosmo, to cross the borders of the solar system to reach a new, imaginary, sensual dimension.
